Diesel passing power

I am not sure mileage has anything to do with it. I’ve only got 17K on my 2021, and the first time it happened I was at 9500mi. I’ll bet it has something to do with the float. (If they still use those - lol)
On the DEF level guage issues, I agree with you. On the "service emissions system" code throwing, seems like getting over 30K miles is possibly something where these codes start being thrown more often. Had to trade my 2020 AT4 diesel off because they couldn't fix it at the dealership. And I was working out of state for a month, right before I was set to drive the truck back from NE to MT, it started throwing these codes putting the truck into limp mode, making it impossible to even drive it back on a 1000 mile trip. After 4 weeks of the dealership not being able to fix it, I traded it off. I literally wasted 4 weeks (early Dec to early Jan) because they couldn't fix these code issues. They gave me a loaner, thankfully, that I drove for those 4 weeks, but I couldn't take that out of state 1000 miles away obviously.

Just seems like a lot of these baby diesel AT4's are having similar issues. Not sure if it is connected to the DEF guage level wonkiness, possibly, but hard to tell. It certainly isn't a good thing to have an empty DEF tank for this emissions system I don't think, and several times I ended up driving 25, 50 miles or so because the DEF guage dropped from showing 1/2 full or more to empty in a few miles span. I am not an expert on this stuff, but maybe running the DEF low or actually empty can trigger other problems. Have read that it can.

I'm guessing I am one of the lucky ones. I am at 55.000 miles with the 2021 3.0 and have not had any issues yet. When I have to drive the long lease roads every day for 8-10 days without much highway driving ( max speed 20mph) I will get the code P2C7A which deals with the NOX bank sensor not reading correctly. When that happens I will get on the road and do highway speeds (75) for about 30 miles and get a good regen. After 2-3 cycles the light will go out or I clear it with my banks gauge. That is the only time it has done it. I am wondering if some of the guys that do a lot of driving bumper to bumper in Houston or other large cities where you sit in traffic idling for an hour and barely moving run in to this.
I monitor DEF gauge and watch it on my banks as well. I fill up when it gets down to 1/4. No problems with that issue yet. Build date 5/2021
