Constant alignment and tire wear issues.

On past trucks I always felt the duratracs from factory on a new vehicle must be a softer compound .....mine never lasted, when is put the same tire on for 2nd set on the trucks they would last at least twice as long ....

I eventually tried BFG KO2 and loved them! So was happy to be able to order the latest trucks with the KO3 tires
Just as an FYI, the tires that come on a factory vehicle ARE a special order compound made to vehicle OEM specs for that vehicle.

This means a OEM BFG KO2 is not the same tire as the BFG KO2 you get from your local tire shop.

Vehicle manufacturers do this to meet their vehicle MPG statements and NHTSA requirements.

that confirms what i always felt may be the case from my tire wear experience

They don't report mileage per gallon on diesel heavy dutiys , at least to my knowledge they don't, I've never seen it

Hey all,
2021 AT4 owner. Smokey quartz, with all the candy. Owned Yukon's for years to tow my boats. When kids entered middle school, boat never got wet, sold it, and moved onto a more comfortable family car and drove Buick Enclave's. Kids are up and out, want to get back to towing but wanted a general purpose vehicle that was as comfortable off-road as on. Thought the AT4 would fill the bill. 16,000 miles later and I am needing a new set of tires. My vehicle has been in for alignments about every 3 - 4k miles. And all the dealer can tell me is that it does not take much to knock the car out of alignment. The worse this truck has seen is gravel. Looking for some feedback on anyone else experiencing this kind of issue.
Thanks in advance for any direction you can offer.
We have the same issue bought brand new 3 months later needed new tires. They replaced them did it again so we thought they were the tires they were putting on it. so we went to the tires store every 8 months I have to put new tires on it and get realignment done every 3 months I think it's time to trade it in. Did you ever solve the problem?

Welcome.

Update. Spoke with regional service manager. They are replacing my tires free of charge. Says it’s not an alignment issue, it’s a crummy tires issue. Goodyear Wranglers, the ones GMC put on my 86,0000 truck, are crummy tires I am now told. Great.
please tell me that worked i put so many good tires on mine still issues
