That sucks, glad it was not worse. That’s one of the reasons I use air B&B with garage when we are staying overnight. We take the vet sometimes and I don’t want to be up all night worrying.
Are you gonna do it?Finally got a quote for the dash. Looks like about $500 for the panel and $1,500 in labor.
Add in window and tint and I’ll be at $2,500 to make myself whole again. All for damage I didn’t do. Unbelievable.
Yes, the part is on order. Truck is too new to not have it the way I want. Are you gonna do it?
I agree, I would too. It sucks to be out of pocket for that though.Yes, the part is on order. Truck is too new to not have it the way I want.
Yes, makes my blood boil. Still finding glass in the crevices too. Oh well it’ll be in the past soon.I agree, I would too. It sucks to be out of pocket for that though.

The hotel is park at your own risk. They wouldn’t budge. Still going to try going through corporate and see if they will do anything.Too bad you couldn’t find a way to make the hotel you stayed at cover some of that. I know they carry insurances. Might be more of a headache I know but just a thought. Glad you’re getting it fixed. It would bug the mess out of me to keep looking at that.

Hate it happened to you but glad you’re safe!thank you. I was mad at first but it could have been worse. Wife and I are safe and nothing stolen. Many people have it worse than a broken window! Just a little bummed about the scratched up dash.
Lucky it wasn't your GMC; I'd hate to lose my Oakleys since they have prescription glasses and took weeks to order.Thieves hit my F150 in a hotel parking lot at 5 in the afternoon. I was backed into a spot 25 yards from the front door. Hotel camera caught the whole thing: Drove up in a car alongside my front end, opened their rear door and reached into the grill with a pair of long pliers and destroyed the horn wire. Left scene and then returned to park next to my driver door. Using pliers they torqued the crappy lock cylinder famous on Fords. Opened door and went through everything taking only a pair of Oakleys.
Damage: New horn wiring / Repair broken temperature shutters in grill / repaint door / replace cylinder / buy cheap sunglasses.
San Antonio suburb cops (near Fort Sam) said it happens all the time looking for guns. Let him know I had mine on me so they didn't get it. He off-the-record suggested it wouldn't hurt his feelings if they found themselves on the wrong end of it.![]()
