BUMMED! It’s back in for service - 2024 HD2500 AT4

You are not alone. With just a little over 1000 miles on my 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X AEV, only a few weeks old, the Emission light came on last night. Luckily I had a wheel alignment appt booked with the dealer this morning and they performed an ECU/TCM update. So far so good.

*UPDATE*
So I thought I was in the clear. I even received a software update to resolve an issue where it resolved an “erroneous check engine light warning”. Drove another 2000 miles…all great…in the clear…then BAMMMM, another check engine. Another Emissions System fault. WTF, GMC? This is totally unacceptable. I will be going in for service for the THIRD time now in a few weeks and will be notifying the dealership that I plan on initiating the Lemon Law process. $90k for this? No way, unacceptable. Toyota, here I come.

Safe to say you didn’t lemon it! Realized you put the new lift in it! Has it had any emissions issues lately?

I hate answering this question (i get asked frequently), as I don't want to jinx it, but after my last service and about another 6000 miles...NO ISSUES! Hence the level, topper and a few other mods. I am committed now...wish me luck!

Awesome! Keep us updated if anything else pops up! I love my truck and what i've done to it, but would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous of yours.

Yeah I have 2900kms on mine no issues just burnjngs lots of diesel lol have 300km x mas trip in couple weeks so hopefully no issues

To Pemberton BC and back, my truck averaged 14.6mpg this time, 272mile round trip, about 1.3mpg better than last.

I love my AT4, but let's just say if Toyota made HD trucks I probably wouldn't be here . I owned 2 Tundras (2010 and 2018) and I have to say the current gens are pretty fugly.

I am on soft reboot number 3 for emmission issues... 6000 miles on the AT4. Heard lots of bs from service manager.... bad fuel, bad this, bad that.

Don't let the service guys reboot you without a service report.... they did that 2x and now denied it. Make them do a full service report.
