Borla S-Type Cat Back Exhaust

Wasted money the cat backs, too quiet might try and buy that link and install it myself looks challenging to me. Maybe I can work it out

After some shipping delay issues, the Borla S Type exhaust finally arrived yesterday. Getting it installed today. Will update and send pictures tonight!

Installed! Sounds amazing. Haven’t driven it much yet after install, but I love the startup sound and when accelerating from a red light so far. Don’t hear it much at cruising speed which is exactly what I was looking for. Here are some after pics and a before pic.

Let me know what you guys think

Is this for the AT -4X and can you provide a link of type and where to purchase? Thanks.

My truck is the AT4X, but the kit is not. If you search the Borla exhaust using AT4X, you will only find the kit with the downpipes. You need to search for the 2023 Sierra 1500 Kit on a 6.2L crew cab. Here is the link for the kit from Borla. Part # 144074BC (Black Chrome Tips)

I asked the Muffler guy to explain what he did, and he said, "Hard to explain, a lot of fabrication, and a fantastic mechanic he has working for him."

From what I understood, they needed to lower the pipes and extend them out longer so they go straight out back. It was a lot of work because the Borla pipes are 2 3/4", whereas the shop typically works with 2.5" and 3". That's where a lot of the fabrication came into play.

He made it happen though!

I wonder about side exits behind the rear wheels? Has anyone done it yet?
I did think of that. I did that with my 2003 Sierra 1500 and 2015 Sierra 1500 All Terrain with a Flow Master exhaust. This time around I wanted them coming out straight back. I am sure it’s doable though. I am also curious to see if anyone has done it. Would love to see pics of so.

Looks great. I don't have the cut outs on my bumper (I have the Borla S type single side exhaust). But, now I'm gonna see if I can piece together the parts to have the dual exit under the bumper. Does the tips sit flush with the end of bumper, or do the tips stick out a bit? Thank you

A muffler shop should be able to fab it anyway you want it.
