That's no doubt. Bought this in 2000. Then built a new house in '19. Paid 88k for it. About what the last 2 trucks cost. It just mind boggling to think about. I don't remember how/what happened to make the $100 bill become the $10 bill.

Yeah this will be my most expensive purchase aside from homes / properties...kind of insane really but yeah!

That is great! That is a nice discount. I am dumbfounded at how fast the Austin area has gone down hill. Large influx of California money who cashed out on their monopoly scheme housing market out there, sell even a modest home out there for 2x what it should be worth, come over here and buy twice the home for half the price. The land and property values have shot up exponentially which is good and bad, but there are still some dealers in Austin area who think there are enough morons willing to pay $15,000 and $20,000 over MSRP for a truck. DFW and HOU markets are much more competitive. It blows my mind that more people don't look elsewhere and instead are willing to overpay in the Austin area.

I wish GM had a better program than the supplier or employee discount that most don't qualify for. Ford's X-plan pricing is about 6% off and the discount comes from Ford, so some dealers won't honor it but many will. There are enough companies and clubs that anybody can join and get a pin number. I wouldn't worry about the strike, it lasted 6 weeks in 2019 but I couldn't imagine it lasts through the end of September this time. Too much at stake, and we all know the UAW will get something, it's just a matter of how much.
I think I know the dealer who you are talking about with the huge markups. They have a used 2024 AT4 with 3500 miles on it and are asking 10K more than new. Won't mention any names; I'll go about it Covertly.
