AT4X - Another tire thread

Have you had this offroad and do the tires rub under full flex/articulation?

Also, when you installed the bigger tires did you already have the Peak 1" level done? But I'm a bit confused. Your signature says 1" level for the front but also a 1" block in the back. Also, does your 4A still work? I've noticed some of the level kits say you lose 4A which is unacceptable to me.

Several other questions:

1. Was this the kit you used for the front?

2. Was this the kit you used for the rear?

3. Some leveling kits talk about loss of 4A which is unacceptable to me. Did your method retain 4A?

4. I noticed these clarifications on the Peak site:

I'm guessing maybe that AEV bumper is a little heavier than stock, which is why you also did the blocks?

5. I also saw in the reviews where another person said they had to do the extra collars to get level. But it has the caveat that this requires new UCA's. We're quickly going down the rabbit hole, lol, but I think this is the kit they may have been talking about. Did you require this too along with new UCA's?

For reference, my AT4X has the Duramax & the stock 18x8.5 +26 wheels

- Yes, I have had my truck off-roading and with full articulation, no rubbing at all.

- Yes been using my 4wa all winter, and zero issues with my current setup. This was another reason I have held off doing the collar/UCA upgrade.

Several other questions:

1. Was this the kit you used for the front?
- Yes, with the intention of possibly doing the collar also, but the UCA need to be replaced for this, as well its recommended to also do the sway bar relocation also. This is the reason i have not done the collar yet.

2. Was this the kit you used for the rear?
- Yes

- When doing the collar upgrade, the UCA's should be upgraded also, as well as the sway bar relocation upgrade.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

@Johnv76 thank you for the follow up info.

I’m still missing something. If you started with a rake on the truck and lifted both front & rear 1” each how did it level out?

I would have expected 1” front, no lift rear. Or maybe 2” front & 1” rear.

Its just the wording is all since its "technically " not a true lift, and more of a level. At the end of the day, I simply raised the front and rear 1 inch to alternately fit bigger tires and to stand out more the the average at4. Some people get irritated if you state its a lift, when all i did was add a spacer and not change out the UCA's, etc. If I decide to do the collar, and UCA's, then I can accurately state " to some" its a lift.

LOL that makes more sense.

Did you install yourself or have a shop do it? If the latter, you recall the cost?

Installed it all myself, installed my garage, and lots of beer. Lol

LOL I sub out whiskey but there is always plenty.

I should probably suck it up & self install. Just assumed I would need to disassemble half the truck as that seems to be “normal” thus far, lol.

Its a pretty straight forward install. Just takes time, cussing, and alcohol. You will need an alinement afterwards though.
