Another tire thread (295/65r18 Goodyears)

DNP: DO NOT PURCHASE Goodyear Duratrac Tires. I have these on my 22 AT4X and will be spending about $1300 to replace them(17K miles). They cup horribly and donot ride well...road noise is also unacceptable...becoming unbearable especially in colder climate. I have rotated every 4500-5000 k miles. It's not an alignment issue....this is the way they wear and have seen it on other trucks as well. Whatever you purchase....watch you closely for tire weight specs. Michelins, BFG's and some Goodyear tires are around the 55-57 lb range. I have seen Nittos and others as high as 65 lbs. Your will kill your fuel economy by 3-4 mpg's and off the line quickness will be recognized. I will be replacing mine with KO2 and or the new KO3. The GMC AT4X is an amazing truck with Best in Class power.....The Duratracs donot belong on this truck...IMO.
I have 285 65 18 Goodyear Duratracs and the noise is ridiculous. Getting way too expensive toyos Monday

Is anyone out there running Goodyear Duratracs in 295/65r18 on their at4x? I'd like to see pics! I'm leaning toward this size as I'm interested in wider tires for my at4x. Goodyear just released the Duratrac RT in September which is the same tread pattern, just smaller gaps between threads, and a much better looking sidewall. These might be a winner for those like me who don't want to mess with their suspension or tire size/gear ratios, but go wider.

Wonder if there as loud and low quality as the current Goodyear's. Have had mine for a year and getting rid of them. Deteriorating sound quality.
