Is anyone out there running Goodyear Duratracs in 295/65r18 on their at4x? I'd like to see pics! I'm leaning toward this size as I'm interested in wider tires for my at4x. Goodyear just released the Duratrac RT in September which is the same tread pattern, just smaller gaps between threads, and a much better looking sidewall. These might be a winner for those like me who don't want to mess with their suspension or tire size/gear ratios, but go wider.

Here it is. It's unexpectedly a little taller than the duratrac (33.35 vs 33.1 inches).

Wow. I checked the GY site last night and it wasn’t there. Hence my comment! I stand corrected . Stock size for the AT4X is 275/70-18.

I got them installed today.. 295/65r18 Duratrac RT. Much quieter than the territory mt that came from factory and the height/width is exactly what I was looking for.

You should get KM3 BFGOODRICH imo they look much better.

The front rubbed slightly today turning into and up a road. I will remove that mudflap bracket and pull the liner back and will be all set. Bilstein 6112s set at 1.1" and wheels are 18x9 0mm offset.

They don't make them in this size...or I can't find them in this size. Love the KM3's...I run them on my Jeep in 37" variety. But the point to this is 295/65/r18 is that you don't mess up gear ratios or suspension quality....but go wider than stock. Because a cm of width is more impactful than a cm of height.

I ended up buying some for my at4x also. The wheels are +12 offset and 9.5" wide. No rubbing of any kind yet!

DNP: DO NOT PURCHASE Goodyear Duratrac Tires. I have these on my 22 AT4X and will be spending about $1300 to replace them(17K miles). They cup horribly and donot ride well...road noise is also unacceptable...becoming unbearable especially in colder climate. I have rotated every 4500-5000 k miles. It's not an alignment issue....this is the way they wear and have seen it on other trucks as well. Whatever you purchase....watch you closely for tire weight specs. Michelins, BFG's and some Goodyear tires are around the 55-57 lb range. I have seen Nittos and others as high as 65 lbs. Your will kill your fuel economy by 3-4 mpg's and off the line quickness will be recognized. I will be replacing mine with KO2 and or the new KO3. The GMC AT4X is an amazing truck with Best in Class power.....The Duratracs donot belong on this truck...IMO.

Hmm if you are getting cupping, it's something specific to your configuration. You're running too low pressure, or low pressure for how much you're carrying, or you have an alignment problem.

I'm not a Goodyear fanboy. Frankly I think they are a overhyped as a tire company. They spend a lot of money on advertising and it gives them the illusion of being the leader. Toyo, BFG, MT, and others make as good or better tires in general. With that said, the Duratrac is an amazing tire. I've run it on a few of my trucks...although the last 2 trucks I've had I've done Toyo OC AT2's and AT3's. I would have done Toyos if they came in 295/65r18. But the Duratrac OG is considered a MT, but it rides like an RT, and it's as good in the winter as any AT. I think it's the best tire they make by a country mile. The RT version's lugs are a little closer together. It seems more like a traditional RT. But it rides like any AT, possibly better than my Toyo's I just came from. I haven't been through a (Minnesota+North Dakota) winter with them yet, and the offroading I've done with them wasn't too intense yet. Time will tell if the RT is as good. I hope so. In regards to the original Duratrac, you're doing other truck guys a disservice if you are spreading bad information about a great tire.
