Aftermarket Tires

Thanks Mazie! I had Duratracs on my 2015 Duramax and they were terribly loud! Extremely loud, had the truck checked a few times thinking it was a wheel bearing… nope, tires!

Does anyone have the new Michelin LTX Defender Platinum installed on an AT4? If so, how do you like them so far? Pictures of them installed?

I just started looking at these as well - - Wondering if they'll look as good as an A/T Tire on the truck.

Has anyone run the LTX Defender Platinums yet? I’m getting ready to install Nitto Recons but having second thoughts as I ride 95% pavement.

Following..considering the Michelin Platinums myself. Worried with that high of mileage warranty could be really hard ride

Appreciate it guys! Obviously a lot of options…. Can I get 70k miles on the Nitto or BFG’s?
Ive used the BFGs on my last 3 Rams. Never got more than 40-45k miles when inhad them on my 2500s. But I like them. They've performed well in snow and the road noise is minimal. Curious to see how the KO3s that came on my 2024 AT4 HD perform and hold up.

Will be getting the Ko3's in Aug when they release my size.

I just put a set of LT285/65R20 Platinums on and I really like them. I have 1,200 miles on them so far so time will tell how they hold up, they do ride really nice and are very quiet.

Big fan of the BFG KO2's. They're not noisy and they look great. As a matter of fact I have two sets for sale on this app. 35x12.5x20 with Fuel Rims +01 eight lug and another set 305/55R20 with fuel rims +01 six lug. So, I bought the 35's for my 3500 and found out the 121 load rating is not acceptable for the 3500. They can go on the 2500, but I need the 126 load rated BFG's. I just bought the 295/65R20's 126 load rated on the stock rims. They look awesome and ride great. I am finally satisfied...... thank God! They are just at the edge of the fender, but keep all the schmoots on the inside of the well. They fill the well so nice! I really love them so far.

The 35's look awesome as well and the offset is just right. I do have the stock wheels for sale as well.....

I have consistently seen 50-60k miles out of Nitto Ridge Grapplers, Toyo AT2s, Toyo AT3s, and Toyo MTs on my HDs and 1/2 tons. I currently have Toyo RT Trails on my HD, but I have less than 10k on the set. So far, they are a great tire. All my trucks tow regularly, and I am a pretty aggressive driver.

I have been running Brigestone AT Revo 3 on 18's for over a year now and have no complaints. Did offroading on old mining trails and they handled it without issue. Didn't have much snow this year so really can't comment on them. Quiet on the highway. Made driving the truck around town a joy again. Pretty much any tire would be an improvement over the Duratracs. Here we are at the base of Schnebly Hill in Sedona, AZ. The second pic (added to show the type of off roading we do) shows this poor guy who cut two tires on the sidewall. His day didn't end well.

Im not sure why or who told you 121 is a problem? 3300 per tire is plenty for a 3500 single wheel= 13200lbs. The GVWR for 3500 single wheel is 11550lbs. Unless the offset doesn’t fit the truck, you can run them unless you’re overloaded.

I am not quite sure. All the tire shops said the same thing. I recall hearing the weight I can legally tow exceeds the 121' rating. They said they could not install anything under 125 for the 1 ton. I spoke to four shops.
