I can't seem to find what L9 means...can someone elaborate?I run my '24 6.2 in Sport mode all the time and don't ever change it. I also run the truck in L9 even on the highway and I get anywhere from 17-19mpg.

Thank you!Move shifter to L. Use + and - buttons on shifter to raise and lower maximum gear.
Will be displayed on ceter dash.
Welcome!I drive mostly in normal mode with the 6.2 L v8 but I do like the sport mode mostly though I find that while in sport mode it does use more gas than normal mode. I have not driven in L mode yet since I’m still learning all these features. I have just over 7000 miles on it. Has anyone pulled any trailers in sport mode and if so how did it pull. Went camping but pulled in normal mode. Averaged 9.5 mpg. Flat land very few hills here. Average speed was 65. Any tips are greatly appreciated.

I have towed a 5000lb-ish flat bed car trailer with a Jeep on it and the truck tows it 70mph no problem. I have noticed if you select tow/haul mode the truck does automatically go back into normal mode though. I find myself riding around in sport mode 99% of the time because I like the sound of the exhaust. I am curious if sport mode does hurt fuel mileage by a measurable margin. I wanted to test this theory, so I have recently purchased an exhaust valve simulator that is going to keep the active exhaust valve open no matter the selected drive mode. I will put the truck back in normal mode after installing and see if I notice a difference in fuel economy.I drive mostly in normal mode with the 6.2 L v8 but I do like the sport mode mostly though I find that while in sport mode it does use more gas than normal mode. I would be curious to know your outcome with the exhaust valve simulator. The camper I have is 28 ft with the tongue and not fully loaded. Though I use the tow haul mode when pulling the camper. I’m driving in sport mode right now to see how much fuel is burned a day. But driving in town is way different than driving hey so I expect to use more with the stop and go.I have towed a 5000lb-ish flat bed car trailer with a Jeep on it and the truck tows it 70mph no problem. Thus far, I have not noticed a significant change in fuel mileage. Any difference is likely due to driving style (and how many times you punch it listening to the sound of your new-found exhaust notethis was my thoughts from the very start of this thread.. keep it open and in normal mode. keep me posted on the MPG, if there is anything noticeable i will for sure be getting one of these
where did you pick this up? and did you install it yourself? Thus far, I have not noticed a significant change in fuel mileage. Any difference is likely due to driving style (and how many times you punch it listening to the sound of your new-found exhaust note). However, I do prefer the transmission shifting pattern while in normal mode. Even without a change in mileage, I would recommend getting one of the exhaust valve simulators***. The V8 rumble is always there and the computer isn't opening and closing the valve depending on throttle position. No CEL/MIL either. As an added bonus, cold starts this time of year (its currently in the 20's or lower here in Michigan in the morning) sound like they should! Even my GF asked me what I did to the truck after remote starting it!
***As a note: I also have DFM disabled. I would recommend a DFM disabler before modifying the exhaust. If the truck starts to shut down cylinders and the exhaust valve is open, it sounds like a helicopter.
I bought mine on eBay from MRT Performance for $49.50 plus $6 shipping (see link below). Make sure you order the simulator that comes with a cap for the exhaust valve. I accidentally ordered the simulator that did not come with a plug cap for the valve end. I wanted a cap on the exhaust valve end of the connector just in case I decided to use it again. I messaged the seller and they sent one to me free of charge. Great customer service. Installation is easy - I did it myself in 5 minutes.where did you pick this up? and did you install it yourself?
