A/T Tires

Got em on last night. I love the look of the bigger rim and tire. The fronts do rub a little on the mud flaps, so I may remove them tonight after work. But the rims are 20" with a +12 offset and tires are ridge grapplers 295/60r20. Speedo's off about 2 mph up to 68/70 and then it's off about 3 mph.

Do you think they would rub if wheels were not offset?

They look super good, but why did you go with 20s over a 17/18?

Dang that’s a tough question- if I could only choose one as the favorite, it would have to be the Falken Wildpeaks for what I use them for. As with everything, they all have their pros and cons. Really depends on how you plan to use and work them. I am really looking forward to trying the Nitto’s as I have never ran them.

the reason I chose those tires were because another guy on the gm forums had bought them and said they didn't rub. However....he was using the stock 20" rims. I think the stock are +24 and the ones I ended up getting are only +12....so I think that's the difference. But I found a cheap mudflap mod....basically remove the metal bracket behind the mudflap and then you can create more room in the wheel well.

Honestly it was just based on availability.....I wanted a black rhino wheel that was solid like the armory, adams, basically all the military looking styles. But everyone around here said they were back ordered until November. I found these sentinel rims but only in a 20" and only +12 offset....so I went with them because I'm impatient :)

Sounds like exactly what I would do!

Well after a lot of research online, talking to tire stores, and asking people their thoughts. I have narrowed the choices for tires down to three:
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT
Nitto Recon Grappler AT
BF Goodrich All Terrain TA KO2

It’s hard to beat anything Nitto/Toyo makes but the Mickeys are supposedly good tires also, I had some Dick Cepeks on a Jeep that was a really good tire I’m pretty sure there basically the same tire made by Cooper Tire and like I’ve mentioned before the BFG’s I ran for a while on a old truck that was nice except for the excessive hydroplaning but that might have just been me who knows.
