My personal lodestone - changed to a K&N air filter right after buying it, for 7 years now I've been getting a "check air filter" message every time I start the vehicle.

I wonder if there's a couple of wires in the connector you can jump to make it think it's always full? I think that would be my first choice. I mean, what happens in 5 years when the sensor fails and GM has decided they no longer want to make parts for such an old thing?
