5,500 miles, in limp mode

Review your states lemon law. Buyback is triggered automatically once the vehicles sits at a dealership for 30+ days in most states. Go through the BBB autoline. GM customer service sucks.

Several MFG's having these engine grenading issues is a Head Scratcher.
They've built millions and millions of successful, legendary engines.
GM, Toyota, BMW Mini's "motors made of chocolate" dunno.

Well that sucks. My buddy sent me the below video. Sounds like there have been some issues with the LZ0 25/26.
I sold my Tacoma a few months back after finally deciding on the GMC 1500 with the LZ0. Will be very bummed if the motor ends up being crap.

The new engine has arrived. I should have the truck back by late this week, early next week. I'm still not sure what to do with this thing. Do I trust it?

I am still in discussion with GM & BBB on a buyback. Not sure how that will go.

The dealer has been good. They seem to be very frustrated with GM these days.

If it was the thrust bearing/crankshaft issue, I wonder if GM fixed the defective part(s) for the new motor and all motors going forward or if they are just putting a new motor in with the same potential issue?

You would think or hope they would check replacement motors but the fact this can happen at all make me wonder.
