Hope they resolve it for you or give replace with a new truck.nevermind, I found the law for NH here. Looks like I have one more repair attempt to go.

The duramax head bolts are torqued down pretty tight. There isn't a ft lb number, it's 120° after 59 lb ft. I'm not disagreeing with your mechanic, just stating the head bolts are torqued down in stages with tools that won't over torque. Now then, it was made by man and he's not perfect, anything could go wrong.Well, it's going back to the dealer. Got the truck back with 800 miles and at 2200 miles the same place in the head is leaking.
This is officially going to be the 2nd repair attempt since on the first visit they didn't see the leak. I'm hoping they replace the engine and not just the head, I'm sure the block is less than perfect after being wrenched on twice and the tech said head bolts were overtightened.
What are GMC saying about replacing your truck?Well, it's going back to the dealer. Got the truck back with 800 miles and at 2200 miles the same place in the head is leaking.

Do they remove the entire cab to do head gasket? My friend had a 6.0 powerstroke and I remember going to the dealer and seeing the cab up in the air. As soon as warranty was up he had something done and it became a great truck, would still be running if his Son had not totaled it!Well, it's going back to the dealer. Bummer!!Well, it's going back to the dealer. Got the truck back with 800 miles and at 2200 miles the same place in the head is leaking.

Its a 6.2 gas engine then. This is a gas truck, not a duramax. I only pull a camaro to the track and plow with it, I didn't really need the diesel. GMC gave me 50k points and a "better luck next time" I just filed a claim with the BBB autoline so hopefully that gets their attention.
Oh dang, this is the first time of hearing this kind of problem on the 6.6g.This is a gas truck, not a duramax. I only pull a camaro to the track and plow with it, I didn't really need the diesel. You are the first I've seen with such issues on the 6.6 gas. Shame on GM for not giving you a new engine. Coolant mixed with oil = recipe for disaster. Guaranteed it wasn't completely flushed out of the block. Sounds like a major lack of quality control in assembly.I believe they did what they thought was best. The leak coming from where it is is the result of a bad head that only leaked when the engine was cooling down because the dissimilar materials (aluminum and cast iron) have different thermal properties regarding expansion and contraction. On a cold or hot engine, a pressure test produced no leak, it was only in this weird in-between temp that it would drip.
Will post back with whatever resolution I'm stuck with.
