2024 2500/3500 Build and order status

Hey all, first post here. I just placed my order a few days ago with Robideaux Motors in Idaho. This will be my first GMC and my first HD truck.

The Dealer is giving me a ball park of March to June for delivery. Seems like a long time and I am thinking that I am waiting in line before they can even place my order with GM. I asked this question and they were evasive about the answer.....

Does a March-June delivery date seem reasonable? I can tell you that I can't buy the truck off a lot for cheaper, thats why I am ok waiting.

Well, my Beast showed up yesterday outta nowhere, stopped in Monday around 2 pm and they told me it was still sitting at the rail yard
with 6 other vehicles they had on order. Around 9 am got a text that it had just been unloaded. Felt like I hit the lottery since we’re leaving on an extended RV trip around Labor Day. Now I got to get some miles on it before we leave.
Beautiful Truck!! I ordered the same color.

That seems pretty far out!

It all depends on when they get the allocation and when your build week is scheduled.

But I've seen some take that long but a lot less. I'm currently in the waiting for my to be delivered to dealership.

Talked with a dealer today and we've settled on price, just waiting for them to get an allocation on a Sierra 2500 AT4X HD. They are a high volume dealer so I suspect the wait won't be like it is with a C8 Z06. I have a MY23 Silverado 1500 ZR2 and absolutely love it, but when GM announced they were going to over the LZ0 Duramax in it, I was like "I want the diesel" (they never offered the diesel in off-road SUV's so I thought after MY23 came out and it was not an option, there was either a good reason or even a marketing reason as to why it wasn't going to be offered in the ZR2.)

And I have a C8 Corvette so it's not like I don't like the 6.2L V8! I figured for the money there is more value in the HD with the new updated Gen 2 L5P 6.6L Duramax. It's a little longer to fit in my garage and will probably have to back it in, but I work from home and don't drive it every day, so I'm hoping it will be worth it.

Ok this is good to know. The person I was working with was brand new (in training) so getting answers from her is a crap shoot I am learning.

Maybe ask a manager they might give better insight on when it could potentially come in

I'd say give it a week or two and then go ask manager or someone if they can tell you anything. I had to wait 2 weeks for mine to get accepted by GM.

Mines sitting at flint waiting for transport as well. My build was complete on 8/8 and has been sitting ever since. Very frustrating
Got word today that my dealership was approved by GM to go get my truck from the Flint hostage lot. As long as the logistics work out, I should take delivery next Thursday.

That is excellent news! Hope everything goes according to plan.

I'm waiting for my dealership to pick mine up still.

Yes it definitely is! I keep seeing ones get delivered but it's not mine.

I found out GM ran out of the power steps with lights so mine didn't get them. They put the metal high clearance ones on instead.
Originally I wanted the high clearance steps but I think I'm going to be happier with the power steps. I know my parents & in-laws will definitely appreciate them more. I have no plans for this thing to be an off-road rig...that's what the Jeeps are for.

I wish they wouldn't of put those on. Rather they not put any on in thay case.
I saw the metal ones and don't like them. I'll have to go order aftermarket power steps now.
I'm hoping I can tell dealership to not install them since it says dealer install on window sticker and take the price of them off.

After having power steps they are definitely the way to go. And looks cleaner as well.

Man, I hope you can stop the installation. You are making me happier about the power steps.
