I found this on gm authority this morning.

Just Received the VIN on Friday, truck is built! I can see that it was built at Fort Wayne, Indiana. Anyone have a guess on delivery times once trucks are built? 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited AT4 - 6.2L V8. Hopefully it arrives before the end of the year.

You can chat online and bug them like I did for status updates. My truck went to the shipper on October 25 then to the rail yard for shipping to Newark NJ on October 29th. It arrived on November 5 in the rail yard and now today November 8th is on the ramp to go to distribution which they said would be with in 24 hours. From there I wait for the transport truck to take it 2 hours to my dealership in Connecticut. Hopefully it will be at the dealership by this Wednesday November 10. I can't see there being a back up because production is just starting back up.
UPDATE>> My truck arrived at the dealership this morning and is going through the shop now. Thank God that went quick!

I hope I'm not too late if I place an order next week for a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 "limited"? With the start date of manufacturing of the mid cycle refreshes starting in February I'm worried I no longer have time to place an order without it bumping to the new refresh styling, which I am not a fan of on exterior.

Been trying to find one coming to a dealer near me but every one I check on is already pre-sold. Wild times we are in with vehicles new and used...

If this helps OP:
Began the process 15 August 2021. Went to GM home page on looked through options/packages
17 Aug, I began the search for a dealer that would build new. Finalized my build sheet and sent to dealer 1 Sep
I ordered mine "officially" on 3 Sep 2021. (Put down deposit)
Notified finally on 12 Nov 2021 that my truck was "being built" after being pushed back from a 1 Nov build date
On 1 Dec, I got notified the truck had arrived at the dealership
On 3 Dec, I got the first pictures from the dealer of my actual truck. Told it's not ready yet as it needs the brakes and running boards installed
4 Dec, drove to the dealer to test drive it and work the financing
Today 7 Dec, brakes are installed, waiting on running boards to be installed and final detailing
8-9 Dec, I should be able to take it home.

So far start to finish is right around 4 months.

Update. I picked up my limited 22 today, luv it, but know the following.:. No sport mode, it shows it on display but can't select it like most other 22 limited buyers have said. It does have tow haul and off-road. Also missing for the moment is side blind detection on the mirrors. The sensors are there, but nothing being displayed on mirrors and not listed in the settings display so likely another chip casualty, hopefully both sport mode and this can be corrected in time with chip availability It did come with heated seats and steering wheel so no issue there.

Congrats!!!

Update. Dealer called me last Friday and told me that if i didnt drop the tech packages off my truck that gmc wasnt going to build it. It was a 22 limited at4. Order was placed at the end of sept. So i canceled the order and placed an order on a at4x today. Anyone else have this happen? You would think if someone placed an order they would build the truck for them. See alot of base models rolling into dealerships. Im not getting my hopes up this time.
