2022 Sierra 1500 Limited AT4 Ordering and Timeline Thread

I placed a reservation to build out my 2022 AT4 this past Friday. Won’t be able to build it out until December and production will start new year with truck coming off the production line by end of 1st quarter. How were you able to place an order so early?

Finally got confirmation mine is in transit. I found a dealer that had one built waiting on chips. It is a 2021 AT4 black Carbon Pro edition with the Duramax and loaded. I can't wait! I especially liked that when I called GMC to check the status they actually take it and put it back through quality control. I hope they put fresh fluids in it as well because it was built May 15, 2021.

Congrats! Hopeful the 2022's have their chip allotments....

Congrats!

Hopefully, GM has been stashing some chips for all of these 2022's - I'm wondering what they are planning on doing with all of the 2021's sitting in parking lots waiting for their chips.
You and me both....I am not going to be a happy camper if I get denied adaptive cruise, etc....due to the chip shortage. That's the main reason I am even getting the 1500 AT4, I tried to build out the RAM Rebel w adaptive cruise and it's not even an option bc of the chip shortage. Worries me bc how would Dodge not get access to chips and GM somehow does.....fingers crossed.

I put in a reservation for a 2022 AT4X and talked to the dealership yesterday. You can order on November 15 but pricing won’t be available until December 15. The dealer showed me an email that said the new refresh models will start being built on March 1.

Do you mean the "X" version won't start being built until March or the entire 2022 line of the 1500's.....last update I saw was build starts beginning of 1st quarter and roll off the line end of 1st quarter. I need my truck by May/Beg June at latest. Arrival after April would be good too so I can skip the awful pollen season here in NC. Black truck and yellow pollen don't go well together, and I would feel the need to wash it on a daily basis.

According to the dealer and the email from GM yes start of build for refresh line is March 1.
I’m curious, did they actually show you the email? Is it legit? Just wondering bc I spoke w my dealership, he has an “inside man” (lol) who is actually in GM and checked. Said there have been no new announcements regarding any delay in production. Just figured I’d update with my own dealerships reply.
