2022 Refresh Order Experience

That’s great, yours is complete but 95,000 others aren’t with news ones being added to the lots daily.

Sorry you misunderstood. Mine is also waiting on a chip. Sorry for not clarifying. Just saying it's trucks built before June also

Sorry I was replying to the other post. Mine was built the 29th and has been sitting in Ohio since. We’re in the same boat and I was saying our trucks won’t be moving anytime soon. None of them will because new ones keep rolling off the line and blocking others in the storage lots. Very frustrating. I’m reading stories about people who had trucks sitting forever last year and they’re having all sorts of issues with paint and finishes. I feel bad for people who won’t get their orders built and then have to reorder a 23 with a higher price. GM has bungled this whole process. I’d like to know what chips they are waiting on since they were shipping them before needing chips. I’m guessing it’s a big safety feature. Hopefully everyone’s trucks just show up at the dealer soon.

Mandatory purchase of connective services?? When I ordered my AT4 in March it included 3 free years of connective services. I just read that you are now required to purchase this 900 to 1500 dollar package for trucks manufactured after a certain date in June. It is not included in the MSRP but is added on along with transportation cost. Are we price protected from this?

Mine was manufacture the end of May and no ETA - sitting somewhere as part of the 95K - I was told, don't be surprised if it's September or October. On top the the supply and chip issues, quality control is now an issue. Time to look at other options beyond GM

Yes, I’d be shocked if I saw mine by Sept at this point. I keep debating walking away but the price protection is nice.

This is my first post: In Canada dealer could not get onto the site to order the Refreshed GMC 2022 until Feb 15, we got a build number on Mar 2, (had to be allocated etc.) order accepted A 14 status 3000 with a build date of the week of May 9th, built in Silao Mexico and shipped. arrived in Edmonton on June 10th and delivered on June 14, built complete as ordered. The good news it's running great so far.:) The truck is a 2022 Sierra 1500 AT4 standard bed in silver metallic.

Truck arrived at the dealership Sunday - picking up tomorrow.
No notification from GMC or the distribution center on delivery to dealership. Everyone was surprised.
For those of you tracking timelines, the whole process from order to delivery was right at 4 months. Dealership is honoring price protection and supplier pricing.

Ordered: 3/9
Allocation (2000): 4/23
Scheduled for production (3000): 4/27
Received TPW of 5/23: 5/9
Produced: week of 5/30
Shipped: 6/1
Dealer invoiced / Received VIN: 6/10
At istribution center: 6/23
Delivered to dealership: 7/11

I’ll share pics after I pick it up.

So you’re saying there is a chance?

Exactly. Pretty sure mine is in purgatory with 95,000 other GM vehicles. But maybe it's hours away from the dealer. Trying not to think about it too much.
Nothing else we can do. One day they’ll just show up. Since my order was accepted I have found the chat to be off by a week or so in their info. Mines still supposedly in Marion OH as of today.
