Truck is a 2019 Sierra Denali. Truck is stock except a K&N panel filter in the factory box and a Range DFM disabler. I always run the best gas I can get and every fluid has been replaced by me with Amsoil’s best. That includes oil, transmission, transfer case, and diffs.
I don’t have anything to tow and the truck is pretty much babied. I use the truck mostly for commuting to various industrial sites, mostly in central Texas. As a sales rep, it’s my mobile office. It’s a cream puff.
I’m interested in getting a tune. I’m interested in just making it a bit more fun/interesting to drive. 90% of the time I’ll be driving around town and on the freeway somewhere close to the speed limit.
The other 10% I will be hammering on it so I can pass on a 2-lane road or rip around on a country road or just goofing off to add a small dose of excitement to my otherwise mundane, middle aged, responsible, family man life.
I want the truck to last and I know the drivetrain can handle close to 600hp before needing modifications. So I have plenty of overhead to work with if I want to add 25-50hp. I might add an exhaust system eventually, but it will be the quietest performance option I can find.
Anyways, enough rambling. If you had the same goals for your truck and decided to start with a tune, what would you go with?
