What's your favorite tonneau cover?

Pace Edwards UltraGroove is the best Electric Tonneau. One button open and close, no issue for 3 years, 5 year warranty, T-track, manual release (Retrax doesn’t), and the only electric for a long bed ( the best reason to buy electric).

I have a BAKFlip MX4 Truck Bed Cover. The challenge I had a few years back was finding one that worked with the CarbonPro bed. The rail mounting system was different. It required drilling and then inserting U nuts to secure it. Not sure how others have fared with the carbon fiber beds.

I recommend any of the hard folding covers. They're all about the same. I've had Bakflip in the past and just installed the Rev.

Access toolbox edition by ACI. Well, because they're about the only game in town if you have a crossover toolbox.

We did the GMC power cover with the T slots; 25% off on the site I believe if you spent over a certain amount. Dealer installed it. It works great, and appears to be very high quality. The LED light that auto shuts off after 5 min is nice.

I had a truxedo sentry ct on my last truck and am considering putting one on my new one as well. I like the low profile, the fact that it rolls up, and is sturdy when it's in the "out" position. What's your favorite? I'd like to shop around a little before buying another sentry.

For my uses the Retrax Pro XR is the best option. The aluminum cover is very stout, it locks, and it has a T-slot on each bed rail, so I can mount racks made by Yakima, Rhino, and Thule. Their products are very expensive, and Retrax customer service is lousy — they won’t do anything for you after the sale — but the product is very well made.

Bak Revolver X4s

No drilling, aluminum slat structure, railed.
I prefer it to the mfr cover on the Avalanche I had previously. Rolls out of the way with one hand & doesn’t take up bed space when you take it with you.

Accessory shop owner had one on his truck - and he’s seen many if not most.

Just installed a TruXedo Sentry CT last weekend. I'd considered the BAK Revolver X4 and Paragon as well.

Decided against the Paragon. Because the Paragon folds down into the bed there's a chance if you load slides forward it could prevent you from opening the cover. Might not ever happen, but decided I preferred the simplicity of the roll up cover.

The choice between the Sentry CT and the Revolver X4 came down to I prefered the look of the Sentry CT and the locking mechanism of the Revolver X4. While the Bak is arguably more secure if someone really wants to get in, neither cover is going to stop them, so looks won out.View attachment 7336

I find the stake holes make for a convenient hand grab when getting in the bed.

On my 2015 all terrain I got a gmc tri fold for $150 almost brand new. It served me very well and was so easy to take off with two clamps if I needed the space. Almost no water ever. Now on my 22 at4 hd I grabbed a extang express roll up new in box on marketplace

for $200 before we went on vacation. Very easy to install and I'm liking the soft roll up now than I thoughr I would. Time will tell, and it's hard to pass up a good deal.

Another add for Retrax Pro XR. Wanted a roll up, low profile, and needed the T track for both the low profile bike rack cross bars and the higher Elevate racks for the kayaks. Also mounted some rotating ditch lights to the front of the T track. Great cover so far.

I have the GM/Roll N Lock. So far its my favorite. I love how it rolls up and is hidden. Its low profile and I can lock it at different lengths so I can partially cover my bed while towing my 5th wheel.

I do not know if they drain into the bed or not. I can tell you after a heavy rain or wasking the cover off with my power washer there is very little water in the bed.
