Driver side, to the right of the ODB-II port is a little switch (see photo). Anyone know what this is? Owners manual does not make any reference.

Looks aftermarket to me. Did you buy the truck new or used?
Purchased used 1 yr old. GM Certified Used. Truck has been great except for the Coolant Control Valve issue which has been resolved (after 45 days), but GMC upgraded the warranty on it for 150k miles

I did add the Amp Research Steps which are great. I'll call that dealer. Thanks for the hint.

Not oem. Wonder if it a disabler of some sorts.

What happens when you push it?

Thanks to Google Lens:
The item mounted under the dashboard is an aftermarket dealer-installed security or tracking system component, commonly associated with systems like Karr Security. [1, 2]
  • What it is: A control/status pod featuring a small indicator light and a programming button, typically wired into an add-on alarm, starter interrupt, or vehicle recovery tracker. [1, 2, 3]
  • Origin: Dealerships frequently install these modules during inventory or as an add-on package (sometimes billed as LoJack or security protection). [1, 2]

  • Next steps: Check your purchase or financing paperwork to see if a security/tracking service was charged or activated, or contact the dealership you bought the vehicle from to confirm if it can be removed. [1, 2]
