What shocks and struts do I need?

I have a 2020 AT4 1500 with 6.2.
I am trying to find out what shocks and struts give the best on road ride but can handle off road. The Rancho that came on the truck are good but I want better. Any suggestions
Good and shit are not spelt the same! 🤣

There are a few threads on this topic within the forum. I find the Rancho's to be crappy shocks on my AT4 2500. Most folks seem to like Fox and Bilsteins for the 2500's so I would expect the same for the 1500's as well. I went with Kings, a more expensive option with a 12 week wait. I would recommend a search of the forum as a start. I would also look at using something like Duck Duck Go's AI assistant and ask it to research shocks, include reviews and forum discussions.

Most setups will be better for paved roads. Have to ask how much off roading you plan on doing. I have the 6112/5100 Bilstein set up and handled lots of Moab without problems. Unless you’re doing any serious rock crawling, which these trucks aren’t set up for, Bilsteins are the most economical. The bigger systems with fluid reservoirs are best suited for higher speeds on gravel/rough service as the hydraulic fluid gets hot fast and the greater volume keeps the performance up.

I drive my truck mainly on the road/highway. I don’t do any serious off-roading anymore. The most off-roading I do is in West Texas on the deer Lease.

Bang for your buck? Probably Bilsteins. Next would be fox. if you want to spend more then the more expensive fox shocks. You also have King and Icon as the "super premium" brands. For your use and mileage I'd say Bilstein or fox.
