2024 2500 AT4, 29K miles with braking pulsation. Checked the rotors and have .004 on DS and .003 on PS for lateral run out. I could squeeze it in under the 30K warranty but it'll probably take more time and energy to have the dealership diagnose and warranty the rotors, and most likely happen again..

So I'll probably replace myself, just the fronts. But oh my the current pricing. Powerstop at $100 each, or the Powerstop Drilled at $200 each

R1 concepts drilled are listed at $128 each and as hi performance, but have never heard of them. reviews are generally good.

Thoughts or experiences?

Cop stopping alot?

Strange they are warped. What is the pad life monitor saying for percentage?
Pads are fine 68%. I am heavy footed on both gas and brake, but have never had warped rotors on prior GMCs (this is my 6th 2500) I have also heard others with similar issues w new brakes. Bad batch?

Possibly a bad batch.

I have had lifted trucks with large rubber that would warp rotors in 36k miles.

The wife has 110k on a '15 yukon. Brakes haven't been touched and she's hard on them. The '97 ¾ton 454 Suburban she daily'ed before, seems like it was yearly replacement or turned down.

Both of my '05 Dodge hemi's would warp rear brake rotors like crazy. Common problem. I hope this truck doesn't have such a problem. Sucks when it starts pulsing at stops.

I'm on 35" and have had the same set up on previous trucks. So we'll see. Guess I'll give the R1s a try

I have a good experience with the power stops on my lifted suburban running 35's. My braking was so bad I was about to buy smaller tires when I did the brakes and rotors instead .. world of a difference.

My buddy had to have his rotors resurfaced for also being warped at 35k. He tows here and there. When time comes for me to do brakes I'm definitely getting power stops drilled/slotted.

keep in mind for anyone that finds this thread, in the modern day with automatic car washes on every corner. let your brakes cool down before going through them. extremely hot rotors will warp when hit with water from the washes.

Are we warping rotors due to hot summer days, and sudden down pours? Seems like a stretch...
