WANTED TRAILER TPMS sensors

Effective range of these GM TTPMS (trailer tire pressure monitoring system) is only 23’. My rear wheels on my AIRSTREAM are about 22’ from the TTPMS antenna and the rear tires drop out very frequently. They do link back up again but since GM signal is proprietary right now there is no way to boost the 433 MHz GM signal easily. After market sensors work great on TTPMS systems farther than I would say 20’ because you can add signal booster. Just FYI if you are thinking of installing GM TTPMS systems and rear axle more that about 20’ away from rear license plate (where GM actually mounted the TTPMS antenna)

I got the trailer TPMS sensors with truck just in case. It was an easy $50 purchase.
 

So are you saying aftermarket 433mhz sensors have more range to the truck antenae. Or a separate aftermarket kit not linked to the truck antena
I was thinking of using the Autel programable sensors on my 2023
 

I run two sets of tires on my truck, one for summer and a studded set for winter. On our Jeep and our Ford the vehicle automatically recognizes the new set of wheels and tires within a few few miles after they are bolted up, but the AT4x has to be manually reprogrammed every time. Do you have to go through that hassle with the trailer TPMS too, or are all of the trailer sensors sending exactly the same signal, so you can unhook one trailer and hook up another without the programming rodeo?

Separate aftermarket does not link thru truck antenna. There would 2,4,6,8 sensors that link to a 433 MHz booster at the front of the trailer that you would install and that booster then links to the separate TTPMS monitor purchased with the system. You can probably reach 40+ feet with aftermarket system and booster arrangement. I have a Truck Technologies TTPMS aftermarket system and it is really good. I think that any other sensors purchased either won’t link to the truck or if they do link that 23’ max antenna pick up range comes into play…non starter for me with the unreliable GM sensor and my AIRSTREAM. Catching a blowout as it happens saves serious money if towing and AIRSTREAM that has a flat

It appears to be tied to a trailer profile. If you create a copy of the trailer and program the TPMS, it seems that would work.
