Tint

HUD still looks fine to me, I went with a 50% windshield tint

Well, actually, when I wear sunglasses, it looks darker, kind of faint. I cant compare to how it looked prior to the tint, so maybe the HUD always looks faint with sunglasses?
Either way, I dont need to wear sunglasses anymore, hehe
My HUD is barely visible with the highest brightness setting when I wear my sunglasses. Are your glasses polarized? If so, that will greatly reduce the visibility of the HUD, at least from what I've tested with polarized vice non-polarized.

Prior to getting my previous vehicle, I was thinking about ordering the HUD but other owners said it doesn't work with polarized lenses so I didn't get it. Well, since I got the tech package or whatever it's called, it came with the HUD and I'm glad I did. I just crank up the brightness and it almost provides the right level.

Yes, I have polarized lenses.
So that's probably why the HUD looks faint when I tried to wear sunglasses.
I agree, the HUD is a really nice feature.
