Tail Lights on the new 2024 AT4

Finally got around to installing my Morimoto backup boost bar, Thanks for the tip about the trailer harness, should have known. All went well but on my AT4 the red wire was reverse (+) positive, black was (-) negative. Thanks for all the input.

So all the different reply’s, what wiring is the final answer for the reverse circuit on an AT4 sealed taillight? And does it matter if I tap into driver or passenger side?

I have a 2024 2500HD AT4, the reverse wiring is : Red (+) positive , Black (-) negative. Red "hot" in reverse. Wires from the Morimoto backup boost bar are located on the right corner of the boost bar , so it seemed logical to take them to the passenger side, but the wiring is long enough to reach either side. Hope this is helpful...

That circuit will be "dead" until the trailering light module senses a draw on the running light circuit. Only circuit that is always "live" on the 7way is the 12+.
I just checked my 12+,on my 7 way in the bed. It wasn't hot,any idea. I was checking because I was thinking of putting a bed switch in to control bed lights

Fuse 84. Did you check for 12+ at the bumper?

I was checking fuse box and got pulled away, Thanks I will check that tomorrow after work, and also at the bumper. I had the tail light open and bed light out when I realized I didn't have 12+ .

I got a light blade and the adapter from OPT7, the adapter ties into the trailer and causes all kinds of problems. I am going to gut it and tap into the tail lights. This is what I have for colors on a 24 Sierra 1500 AT4:

Black-Ground/ 12-
Dark Green-Turn
Brown-Brake/Running
Light Green-Reverse

I wanted to throw it out before I actually tapped in.
