Hey all, just put an order in for a ‘27 3500 AT4 with the 8.3L.
I’m coming over from a ‘23 Ram 2500 Rebel gasser. It’s been a great truck but I need something with some more “oomph”. We live full time in a travel trailer and we’re planning to trade it in for a 5er and the 2500 gas wasn’t going to cut it anymore.
About half my miles each year are towing, and half of the remaining miles are on dirt, so I’ll definitely be doing some suspension work at some point. I know it’ll never be a rock crawler, but I don’t expect the stock suspension to meet my needs (and I’ve heard the factory shocks are terrible).
This will be my first diesel, and first IFS in a long time as I’ve had Jeeps and Ram HDs for a good number of years, but it is somewhat of a “homecoming” for me as my first vehicle was an ‘88 GMC S15 “High Sierra”.
Anywho, looking forward to learning from y’all and sharing my knowledge and experience as well.
