Looks like the column has four bolts/two brackets that hold it in.

Thank you!It shouldn't be that big a deal, Im standing by my initial guess after looking at the video. Seems like a loose steering column. There is a bracket that clamps the column shaft to the underside of the dash support. Usually just two bolts and a bracket. Take the plastic knee board (plastic panel under steering wheel) off and it should be immediately recognizable. I would check this before I threw the truck away lol
Its at the dealer again today. I'll report back their findings.Thank you!
Has the sound gotten worse since the last time it was there? I can't believe as bad as it sounds in your clip, service dept couldn't find it!Its at the dealer again today. I'll report back their findings.
At the dealer 2 days now and nothing to report. I requested a buy back from GMC.Its at the dealer again today. I'll report back their findings.
They heard noise and have no clue. They think behind dash by firewall. They want to rip apart the dash to find it. I do NOT want them doing this on my new truck! Any suggestions?? Guy above this thread has the exact same noise! New AT4 with 6.2 engine.Thank you!
Meeting with dealer today at 1pm.Check to see if the heat shield underneath is loose/missing fasteners. I had a similar noise and could have sworn it was coming from the cabin or just behind the dash. Took me months to figure out it was a loose and rattling heat shield with no help from the dealer.
What did they say?Meeting with dealer today at 1pm.
They heard the noise in the dash and it was loud today. They also heard the defective audio quality when someone is talking to me over bluetooth and truck speakers, cell call. (BAD STATIC) 2 ISSUES here. I stumped their master techs and they had no clue at the moment. They continue to tell me everything needs to be taken apart. (Dash) to get to the bottom of this. I am not accepting this on a truck with 500 miles and its $73k. The owner is working with me and trying to locate exact new At4 for me. TBD. It will cost me $ unfortunately but I don't want them tearing into my new truck dash. It sux as I'm going to be out $2500 to $3k because mine is used truck now. I'm also going to be speaking with GM. What can GM do for me as these are Mfg defects from assembly! I just Love this truck and I'm willing to put more $ into getting another one to Hopefully get a good one w no issues. Thank you. What did they say?
