Squeaking and Engine Dying

Depends on how good of condition the rest of the truck is. And if you bought it because you liked it or if it was the only thing available at that time.

I believe if it was mine, I'd have a new engine put in with a gm new engine warranty and drive it and enjoy it and not look back.
and what cost would you estimate for new engine? thanks again just asking for advice man-to-man

okay thank you so much for your help. i will try to claim powertrain warranty and get it fixed, do you think I can get all bearings replaced and be okay or should i get whole engine overhaul in order to drive for a few more years?

A person would have to read the warranty paperwork. I'd imagine it's at that dealership shop.

Definitely a powertrain warranty. Make damn sure there is oil in that engine before having it towed back to Faulkner. Put some used oil in it if it doesn't touch the dipstick.

Thank God you don't have to cover the whole expense.
Why do you say to put oil in it? will that void the warranty if there isn't enough oil?

If it's out of oil and there is no window aka hole in the block from connecting rod exiting the block, the dealer might try to void the warranty saying you ran it out of oil, causing the issue.
