I loved in Central Oregon for years with plenty snow and ice. I travel the passes routinely now and stick with a 3 mountain peak rated tires (just getting those now for the AT4x) that substitutes for chains when required by ODOT. However back end is always light and lose going uphill and around icy roundabouts. Been using this for 10 years. Got sick of tube sand bags rotting and spilling all over the bed. Fill the bladder up part way or full with the garden hose and add 100-300lbs right over the axle. You can put gear on top of it as well. Thick rubber I have not punctured yet. When you don’t need it open the valve, let the water out, fold it up flat and put on the shelf in the garage. Adds substantial traction to an empty truck bed. Much safer than bricks or sand bags if you ever get in an accident as well.
