I am from the hills and woods in a town with less than 1000 people and no traffic lights at all. We do however have plenty of wildlife (to include moose) that are capable of inflicting pain & suffering to my baby. I would like a old school bull bar to protect her from the unavoidable. I can find no data from calls to after market bull bars suppliers that say with certainty that their products will not block the front camera. I don't much care for the monstrous brush guards, just a simple bull bar like a Weston. Please advise before I am forced to weld up my own to meet my needs. Thank you.

In all honesty your custom made would be built better than what I have seen. I don't think any manufacturer makes one to withstand a moose. I don't think the truck's mounting points could take it either.

Bad thing about the hoofed is they are more than likely to end up in the seat with you.

I suppose the physics of a moose stepping in front of a truck favors neither. I believe the absence of answers would most likely indicate there are none that do not obstruct the front camera. Even a couple of the after market websites when called could not commit to any bull bar working. Thank you.

I would avoid those bull bars at all costs. They will bend right into your radiator / grill / hood and cause way more damage than the animal.

If you want real protection you should invest in a steel winch style bumper. I run bodyguard on all my rigs. It's expensive but it's built well and I've got one on my suburban - the finish still looks new 6 years later. They offer easy camera relocation kits if you get the full protection bumper.
