This forum is active and full of people who know what they’re talking about. I have a non-GMC truck question and want to apologize in advance if it’s not in the spirit of the site. But I could use some advice.

Wife has a 2016 Volvo XC60. The IHU in the dash died. It’s the computer that lives behind the screen and controls a bunch of features and it needs repaired.

Volvo wants $3800 to replace it. I’m not shitting on Volvo here. It’s a really nice vehicle and I love driving it. It rips and it’s very comfortable and safe for my wife.

Does anyone know of a company that sells refurbished electronics? I figure there’s got to be a few people out there who can repair them or have refurbished parts that they sell if you send in your damaged parts.

Thanks for any help or leads you can share.

Will let this slide for a time.

Are there not forums for the Volvo? You would get a hellava lot better answers.

I know AgExpress does alot of electronic repairs on ag displays, dashes and wiring harnesses. There is one in Grand Island Nebraska, and one in Iowa.

I’m checking around for a dedicated Volvo forum. Forums can be so hit and miss these days, and I know I can trust the folks here. That’s a compliment to you and the team here.

I was able to find a Canadian company (xemodex.com) that will repair the module for $350. They handle electronics repairs and replacements for a ton of different manufacturers, so hopefully that will bring some value for the site in general.

I’m comfortable working with that company, so feel free to kill this one. My hope is that anyone with electronics issues for their GMC and Chevrolet trucks can benefit. Just got lucky with AI suggesting them when I was diagnosing the problem.

And I promise I don’t have any affiliation with them. I’m a God-fearing middle aged redneck from Texas. No funny business coming from me. I’m not that smart.

Also, thank you for allowing me to ask this on the forum. I genuinely appreciate it.
