Have you thought about painting? If you don’t mind an afternoon in the garage and like the style but not the color of the current, sanding down the existing and repainting may be worth thinking about. I had the Vader black chrome which spots and peels. So did that to mine (I have a Sierra but same process). I used wheel enamel spray paint in a rattle can. Lots of colors to choose from and very durable. The grills snap together so once you take it off you can separate the sections to sand and spray, or just tape it off how you want.
