Reverse lights

Lighting: Garmin Powerswitch controls Baja Designs flood lights in rear bumper, and ditch lights on
We both have the same Baja Designs flood lights in rear bumper although we have different controls to do the same thing. Should we also wire 'flood lights in rear bumper' to reverse tail light wiring in addition to our current manual controls? Or should we just install a license plate reverse light as well.

What controller do you use for the lights to be controlled with CarPlay and Voice?

Another vote for the license plate light bar. Barely noticeable and easy install. Makes a world of difference.
Did you have to use the relay? Website says if factory led reverse lights a relay must be used.

I don’t know? I had the reverse lights on my last truck wired so they’d come on if the truck was in reverse OR I flipped the corresponding accessory switch. That was ideal for me, but it was also an easy installation, as Offroad Alliance made plug-n-play wiring harnesses for the Baja Designs lights and my truck. They don’t offer anything similar for GM trucks, and I’m not sure how OA prevented undesirable feedback.

I use these for a number of similar wiring applications on the AT4X.

I installed the bed switch from Gen5DIY to turn the bed lights on from the bed. I also wanted my additional LED strip lights in the bed to come on via the same switch. They are mounted to the roll top canister at the front of the bed and 10x brighter than the OEM LED’s. The strip lights are controlled from my cab controller, I wanted both functions. Use the diodes to give you 2 separate source inputs, with one power output with no feedback.

I can turn the OEM bed light on from the stock cab switch. Turn on the OEM bed lights and also the aftermarket strip lights from the bed mounted switch, or turn on the aftermarket strip lights from the cab controller. I used them in several similar set ups.

I added aftermarket backup lights under the bumper that come on with reverse, or I can turn them on via cab controller for camp site set up. Again used these diodes, 2 inputs 1 output, no backfeed.

I originally got these to wire up my tail lights on the jeep TJ to a wire harness that stays on the jeep for easy flat towing behind my truck so no more stick on tow lights. Just plug the truck into the connection on the jeep front bumper and good to tow.

I think you'll like it. I haven't had any issues so far and it makes backing up so much easier.
This is the response from VLED.
