Replacement Sierra 1500 Fog Lights

Just a tip for those buying these lights. The lights work great, but the black housing they sell with it has turned a pinkish color in about 2 months. I was just looking at the lights the other day and noticed something looked weird. The black housing was turning pink.

So......if you buy these lights, you may want to get some plastic adhesive paint and then some black paint and spray them before you put them on.

I'm a little disappointed. My truck is always outside but faced away from the sun when parked. Looks like I'll need to mask them off and paint them....too much of a pain to remove to paint.
Thanks for the heads up. I just got mine in yesterday and was going to install them today. I'll have to hold off until I paint them.

I literally just noticed the same thing with mine this week. They're not pink (yet) but definitely lighter in color than they were. When I get some motivation, I might just put the stockers back in.

Any pics of it?

I sent an email to Foxbeam this morning and Nick Neale replied this afternoon. He said they realized they had an issue and have added UV protection to the newest units. They said if you send them back, they'll replace them.

I don't want to crawl under there twice and have dangling wires and no lights while I wait for mine to get there and theirs get sent back. I suggested a deposit system instead. I'll send a refundable deposit, and they can send new ones.

Nick also offered that if you want to remove and paint them, they'll refund some of what you paid.

I haven't heard back about the deposit idea. I'm 69 years old and don't want to go under there twice.
