Recon Tail lights

Hi, I purchased the Recon Tail lights and turn signals. The Tail lights were easy to install, but I've been having an extremely difficult time taking the lights on the lift gate. I took the interior panels off, but idk how to take off the middle outer part where the GMC logo is. Could anyone point me in the right direction on how to take that off?

Your new lights should help. How is the backsides designed? Are there stud bolts manufactureredinto the new ones or are there tabs with metal/plastic clips on them?

They might be held on like the front GMC emblem or fender flare moldings, which you will break some tabs removing.

Its the plastic tabs that appears unreachable with an 8mm screw. I can get the 8mm screw, but unable to reach the plastic tabs for the middle trim. As those tabs are attached to the housing of those lights.
