Putco Freedom Blade install on 2024 2500 HD

I just went and looked at the diagram in the fuse box. It is #92 - Cool fan clutch/Aero shutters. hope that helps.
I have the same fuse number and components running off it, and the panel is the same as the picture provided in this thread. I’ll give it a try this weekend.

Did you end up having to trim a small notch in the fuse box so the wire wasn’t compressed and the lid set flush, or did you just force it down over the wire?

Bumping this thread, as it’s topical for me. Cwhite, I’m looking to do the same install on my ‘24 3500, and I see that there’s a hinge plate attached behind the tailgate that looks like it will interfere with the mounting. (I’m assuming it would be the same on a 2500.). Just curious how you overcame this and if it was a pain; your end product looks great.

For reference, this is the plate I’m talking about, located about 8” inboard from the driver’s side. Best pics I could get.

Thanks for any advice.

@TravisJr It was a pain. I put a few extra layers (think it took 2 or 3 total) of the double stick tape on each bracket to make up the space of the hinge. I also cut the left bracket for the light so that there is a small piece on the left of the tailgate bracket and the rest was on the right. Hope that makes sense. If you need pics let me know and I will see if I can get some good ones.

No, that makes sense. I figured I’d need to build some kind of spacer, I just wasn’t sure if there would still be enough clearance when the tailgate was lowered - it looked pretty tight. Thanks!

It was very tight. And by the way thanks for spending my money. I bought the supplies to do the interior lights and cup holder lights that you did. Your set up looks great.

HAHAHA. Always happy to help stimulate the American economy. Glad you liked them - let me know if you have any questions along the way.
