Wife charged up her AT4 EV truck off the house solar and we packed up and headed to Parker to get the trailer ready for summer.

Normally we take the gas or our diesel version. The AT4 EV tows the 34' trailer like it's not even back there.
4 wheel steering is amazing.

I'm still getting coughing fits and spitting up flehm while my lung from lobe removal surgery eventually expands into the chest cavity where the old lobe used to reside. Best for the wife to drive this trip.
Wife chose her truck.

She is a safe and prudent driver.
If the road sign says "Drive in the right lane - pass in the left" she does exactly that.

The exception is when the Right Lane Ends sign appears and a string of 11 cars in the left lane wouldn't let her merge. She kicks the truck in the ass and it's an instant rocket ship.

Traffic behind is a dot in the review mirror in the speed of a hiccup.
Incredible instant acceleration. Never experienced anything like it. A sling shot merge. I'm not exaggerating. GM has under estimated the power, torque and 0 - 60 times and range. It's way faster and way more.

Wife will use the super cruise self-driving and for her it works amazing. Gives me the willies to use.
GM Super Cruise keeps vehicles length from cars ahead, turns on the signal and passes then tucks back in to the right lane, knows the speed limit and will increase and slow down, lane centers, amazing features all automatically.

Rolled into Ehrenberg Az still with 244 miles range left and charged up. We then headed into the EV charging wasteland between Ehrenberg and Needles with 519 miles range in the batteries.

260 miles range added for a total of 519 miles for about $36 in 20 minutes. Diesel here is over $7 a gallon, closer to $8 this visit.
This all in about the time wife walks the dog and drinks her Mountain Dew ZERO.

Elect ice chests plugged in in the bed of the truck they all work superb.

Wife noticed and pointed out young EV driving girls will often only roll in and charge at EV charging stations if someone else is charging. The minute wife unplugs her truck, young girls will unplug as well and leave if no one else charging.

There are some sketchy places to charge. Needles East Broadway is one location for sure. Bear spray and a .38 is suggested. Her dog has one hell of a growl and shows vampire fangs if slimeballs approach.

If you use 150 KW chargers, 225KW chargers, 350KW chargers, 400 KW chargers makes no difference, it's what the vehicle wants and lets the charger feed it.

Our EVs have 800V architecture it's as good as it gets and can handle any charge. What ya get is always about 174KW, then it drops to around 55KW charging speed the last 15% of the charge no matter what the charger is rated for. Even the 150KW chargers deliver about 174KW.

No side effects at all charging her truck. AC cools the way she adjusts it, no issue what so ever in any heat.

Others report the same results. Tesla bragging about their new 400KW chargers, really no BFD. Maybe a more steady charge if the location is busy.

You couldn't have asked for better Parker AZ and LHC weather this trip.

Emerald Cove on the Colorado River is where we store a trailer to camp and still offers the $2 steak for $13, the drunks at the bar like it. Yeah $13 for a $2.

Topock 66 restaurant is always a run for us and we really like the place.
It filled up fast with Desert storm boating event folks, tourists busses, OHV clubs and biker groups.

The few Topock 66 servers were slammed.
No one turned away, just takes a little longer. Always terrific girls.
Dogs welcome, they even bring them water bowls.

Desert Storm boating event turnout looked as big as ever. The energy was in the air. Drive around town with the windows down and drunks yelling at each other, music blasting from all the restaurants and bars.

We spent a week in Parker AZ then headed to visit Grandma in Las Vegas.

Stayed at the Rail Road pass for about $69 a night plus Nevada taxes.
Free parking, no Resort fee, no other fees. Cheap, fast EV charging.
Dog is a service dog so that fee and deposit was waved.

Rooms in good shape for $69 can't complain. At that price my girls and their friends black light the place, passed. "Another Dirty Room" is one of their favorite YouTube Channels.

In addition to an excellent steak restaurant at Railroad Pass and a really good coffee shop they have is the Bullet Train bar and grill.
Fantastic prices and quality. Lots of big screen HD TVs. All sports.

Kids and dogs welcome, no smoking.
Service was fantastic awesome food at really reasonable prices.
We went there 3 times and the new server was excellent, We tipped her fat.

Walking trails are first rate, really good in this cooler weather.
The walking bridge over Hoover Dam is worth the stop. Service dogs only.

Wife charges the truck at Hoover Dam Lodge and theirs a fantastic walking trail entrance right off the parking lot, leads down to Lake Meade.

Hoover Dam lodge is like a nice big Museum but with concessionaires running the casinos and gift shop. Interesting concept.
Kinda of an odd duck of a place but nice.

My wife and girls like to go to the Vegas Blow Bars and get their hair washed and what ever. 90 minutes of fun in their book. No styling cut or color, just a wash and a blow dry. Yeah, it's a thrill for them.
"You know the economy is slowing when the hair salons have 50% off coupons" so my girls took advantage of that.
Wife still tips big.

Heading back home yesterday massive groups of motor officers writing tickets along the 11, 215, I15 Nevada into Cali.
Evidently out in force and in California too.

I can understand why, on the Nevada 11 and 215 people are passing, tailgating and changing lanes way over the traffic flows speed and in a nervous fit. Like driving in a pinball machine.

Made it home OK.
AT4 EV a smooth, ultra powerful and quiet truck.
Will take the 2500 HD Gas 8.1 or the DMax next trip and suffer the fuel prices.
