Further followup I forgot to post: after several more months, the vehicle showed up at the dealership unannounced and no repairs made. The salesman and dealership were in utter shock. They texted me that day pictures of all the damage that GM swore they would fix months ago. Both front and rear bumpers were heavily damaged. Dealership immediately offloaded and hid the truck around back out of site. They had fixed in two weeks. I stopped by and took about 50 pictures. The truck had accumulated an unusual amount of rust underneath, panels did not align on front, one license plate light was full of moisture, hitch receiver was spray painted a different black than the factory black, and tailgate had a good scuff on it. It sat there until December, then some poor soul bought it. It's certainly 1 of 1, at least in this area. If I ever see it out and about, i'll try to strike up a conversation with the owner, and perhaps show him some horrific pictures. Since this order debacle, I have picked up the following used vehicles family/coworkers (and love them):
99 Silverado 3500 CCLB dually 454 2wd
16 Tahoe LTZ 4wd
21 Escalade ESV Sport Platinum 4wd
Currently in search of a 09-19 Sierra 2500/3500 CCLB SRW 6.0 4wd to mimic what I ordered last year, but at a fraction of the price.
