New Titanium Rush AT4 2500

My prior trucks were Duramax's so NO room under the hood... I've always installed the compressor in the bed of the truck on the PS wall all the way forward under my tool box. I run a tool box and tonneau cover. The Viairs are hearty and can handle the elements though. 2.5 gallon tank usually on passenger frame. This time I was able to put tank under the bed and compressor under the hood. 2 or 2.5 gallon tank is enough. No need for a 5 gallon tank as the recovery of these smaller compressors is too slow.. If you want a fast hearty compressor, you need a belt driven one, like a sanden AC compressor converted to air. I ran this set up on my jeeps many times...

The air chuck in fuel door with a few fender washers. Tank and compressor. I have used push in air fittings and 3/8 line and then 1/4 line to air horn, and a foot switch. I'm converting all the fittings to compression fittings. the push in tend to leak and keep the compressor running alot. A simple chair foot cap, to keep the air chuck clean from debris

Have any photos showing how you would install that Compressor? My coworker removed his spare tire and put his there but I dont want to give up my spare.
 

@gemarsh: Can you tell how clean it is under the hood in my truck? Be a full year next week :)

Man, how time flies. I remember your first day you posted, Aug 28th, 23.

Don't even want to pop the hood on the '23, but I'm at 45% oil life and change at 30%. So probably will have to before the snow flies.

Yeah, giving up a spare for a compressor is silly. You can see in the picture, I used a few large "L" brackets from Lowes. When it was in the bed of the truck, 2 of them on the bed wall. The compressor comes with some rubber "isolation" mounts for vibration, but you still hear it and can feel it. For this install I used one L bracket and then had to cut and weld the second bracket in double L pattern to bolt thru the bottom of the battery tray..

Is your truck bed wide open? I have mounted a compressor on the frame. In NH it takes a beating but it held up for 3 years... Or in between the bed panels from under neither

I need to look into it; which compressor did you install on the frame? It needs to be dust/waterproof. Perhaps not as bad as NH but it will also take a beating in the PNW, especially during winter months when we travel to BC, Canada.
 

There was a guy on the Jeep 392 forum who fit a dual ARB behind one of the tail lights. I would think there are places on a 2500.

There are places for sure below the truck but its the device that needs to be able to take the abuse.
 

It's not cheap, (but what is anymore) but it's an option. You don't have to get the horns.
Nice kit and pricey too... If one has fabrication skills then they should be able to do it on their own, But for the one who doesn't thats a great option...

If fabrication is not an issue, there are pricier and better options such as the XD4000 which puts out 15CFM.
