New Softwsre installation request

Mine as well. Dealer did an update and it got worse. Now 3 skips…
Try rebooting your phone. My music/audio streamed from my phone starts stuttering after a while (week or so?) of not rebooting my phone. If I reboot my phone, the stuttering stops for a while again.

IDK if it is actually a phone issue or something with these GM trucks. I know rebooting can clear cache and similar on a smartphone. Whatever rebooting does between the bluetooth connection of my phone and truck, it seems to alleviate the problem for a while.

Since the latest update, on start up (on a hot day) the fan blows on high for a short time -like not even get out of garage before it slows down. System in auto and temp set on 66ish.

Mine is doing the same. Yesterday I had to manually turn the fan up. On auto it blows on low after startup.

Weird mine is blowing hard after the update and before the update friday it would start on high and as soon as my phone connected go to low fan speed.

Update- still quickly goes to low. So set temp to LO, pushed recirc (now out of auto), set fan speed to max. Stopped at store, turned off truck. When I started it back up it STILL went quickly to low speed. Anybody know how to take out the supposed update.

I have a 23 AT4 did the update at home , next morning truck dead . Had to jump start and drove to dealer to fix update . Got truck back but the radio won’t shutoff now and the favorite buttons don’t work . Took back to dealer and they update again and have to order a new radio no time for parts and will let me know . Got in truck in morning drove to work and the radio won’t shut off again. And the update keeps popping up to be installed. Dealer says trying to get a fix, annoying having to turn off radio all the time not sure if it would drain the battery . Be careful with these updates they should be tested first .

I had an update "hang" a few months ago. I didn't know it was happening, but it completely killed my battery. When I went to start my truck in the morning, all sorts of weird electronic things were happening, like the truck had gone crazy. Truck would not turn over, I remember some kind of brief warning popping up on the infotainment or DIC but only for like a second or two then the whole truck would be completely dead.

I put my jump charger (a good one) on the battery, let it sit in jump charge mode for a while, it did nothing. Finally called my local dealership, they got the service manager on the line with me, he said he was 99% sure he knew what the problem was. I live about 15 minutes out of town up in the mountains, was the only one home, had no way to even get in to town. The service manager came up to my house, fiddled around under the hood and plugged something in to the electronics module. Then we waited for about 15 minutes, he jump started my truck with his, and my truck actually turned over and started. But all the electronics were still going haywire. He said to follow him in to the dealership back to town, but my truck would be in severe limp mode and we'd only be able to go 15 to 20 mph. Which was the case.

They got my truck in to their shop. I got a ride back out to my house, it was a cold, rainy day, but I had my job trailer at the jobsite, so I rode my 4 wheeler in to the jobsite and worked. Got a call around 4 pm that my truck was ready. Rode my 4 wheeler home, they came out and picked me up, and took me back to the dealership so I could get my truck. They replaced the battery, and had to update my truck via hardwire in their shop.

Last week my truck had OTA updates daily. I would take the update, let it sit as instructed, and then it all seemed fine. But the next day I would get an OTA notice again, this went on for at least 4 days. I expected my truck to be bricked again every morning, but that never happened, thankfully. And as of this weekend no more OTA notices. I am guessing the OTA finally took and installed. No idea what the OTA did or changed.

It shouldn't be this much of a roll of the dice on having an OTA literally brick your truck, though.

This is an interesting observation to me. Most vehicle go to low when you are a call to reduce noise. I wonder if the update thinks the phone is on a call when it connects to the truck and goes to low.

It didn't start that going to low fan speed until I think the 2nd update back a few months ago. Which irritated me during the heat of summer with a hot truck.

Got my brand new AT4 2 weeks ago. About 3 days after I got it I got my first OTA notification. No biggie, I followed the directions and the update installed successfully. No issues for about 3-4 days then one morning I got up and my battery was dead. After two trips to the dealership they discovered it was a defective drivers side power seat module drawing power from the battery overnight. New battery installed and now it’s sitting at the dealership waiting for the new module to arrive. Likely won’t be anytime soon due to the strike. My brand new 2023 AT4 has been sitting at the dealership now for more days than I’ve had it home.
