Hello All,

Thanks for letting me join the forum.

Just bought a 2020 AT4 1500.

Doing some research on exhaust, a level kit and any other upgrades.

When I bought my 2019 1500 AT4 I searched around on YouTube for exhaust mods. There is a guy out in Tennessee that has probably done several different exhaust brands on just about any vehicle you can think of. I don't know if I'm allowed to promote someone's channel on here??? Anyway, I just decided to go with the muffler "delete" on that truck. The 2019 had three sound dampers on each tail pipe. They looked like little square vents. I don't know how they worked, but they did take just enough "bark" out to not be obnoxious. It was perfect, to me. And only $85 to have a guy near me cut out the muffler and weld a pipe in it's place. So there's my suggestion for exhaust modification.

I did the same muffler delete on my 2015 Silverado LTZ with the 5.3l. Was perfect sound. Then I went and screwed all that up by installing Texas speed long tube headers, and a full cat back MBRP. Was so loud. It got to the point I just put all the stock exhaust back on lol

Yeah my wife wasn't happy, made driving the truck obnoxious at times. I mean unless your slapping a blower / turbos on the vehicle, you don't get much HP gains out of doing the headers. Its only gave me around 10-15hp for the full exhaust. You would really notice HP gains with forced induction applications. I will say the high school me would have loved the truck, but the 45 year old me didn't lol. Hence why i changed everything back to stock. The muffler delete gave the best sound quality for the price. Just the right amount of bark, with not being stupid loud.
