Need Help Identifying/Installing This Part – 2026 Sierra 2500HD AT4X

I’m looking for installation information for the GMC OEM Console-Mounted Safe, Part #84867168. Does anyone have this installed in a 2026 Sierra 2500HD AT4X? Specifically looking for installation photos, instructions, mounting details, and any tips before I install it.

GM lists the exterior dimensions as approximately 12.78” W × 7.68” L × 7.08” D (324.6 × 195.2 × 179.7 mm). It’s listed with ~16-gauge steel on 1/8” welded steel components, foam lined, a four-digit mechanical combination lock, and two mounting bolts.

Can't give specifics on a '26 but I have installed 3 on the pre-re's. And I know fellow members have installed on the refreshed without any problems.

The safe will come with installation instructions and instructions on how to re-set the combination. Which both are real easy to do.

ETA... The 2 bolts will take a 10mm, if'n I remember correctly and a paper clip to reset the combo. All can be done in the comfort of the drivers seat, with the ac or heat on! I would guess it takes 3 minutes to install after you clean all the crap out of the console.

It comes with a paper clip type pin to reset the combo. I just threw it and the instructions on the bottom of the safe and then put the included rubber mat down over the top, for future reference.
