Got a new 2026 1500 At4x 6.2, do a lot of hunting and always keep four wheeler in bed truck, bout 3 months of the year. 600lb wheeler, will I have a bad ride now with a horrible squat. Also don’t want to damage those dssv shocks as that the main reason I went with this one was smooth ride.

Will you have a squat or do you have a squat? Only one way to find out. If you do - install airbags.

Just add timbrens to rear. did it long ago on my 2023 AT4X 1500 and I haul a lot of motorcycles in the bed up to 800 lbs worth at a times. No squat and trucks about level. They were under $300 bucks and have worked great for my use.

Well I haven’t even loaded it yet as it raining everyday here, also read airbags will hurt quality of ride with the dssv shocks. Did see where a up graded bump stop can help when it’s loaded but want effect ride unloaded. Gona try load it tomorrow

I sometimes pull my 10x5 trailer fully loaded with 4500lb odf stuff (heavy duty axle) and can't even feel I'm pullig anything and a smooth ride on DSSVs

As others said, there are easy solutions. If it sags, then address it.

If your life is like what I’m picturing, I think an AT4X is well worth the trade offs. You have a fully locked truck with a steel front bumper, and tucked rear exhaust pipes that will be just about ideal for getting around rutted farm tracks, whether the ATV is in the bed or not.

I mean a 2500 might be better when there’s an 800 lb load in the bed, but man, there are tradeoffs for going that way, too.

Thanks guys if stops raining tomorrow gona load it and see what happens. Did see I need lay a board across tailgate keep all the weight off the multistep, kinda hopeing maybe I can drop the step an put the ramps there.

That would be just way more added weight with a fourwheeler on these soft shocks of the X wouldn’t it?

These 1500's have dismal payload, and the higher you go in trim the worse it is. Yeah, you should have gone with the 2500.
