Wet dryer sheets is what we were told when I was stationed in Louisiana. The Harley dealer I use to go to sold a spray called something like bug be gone so I started using that and it worked fine.

A good coat of wax helps them come off easier.

This shit is amazing!

50-50 mixture of water and hydrogen peroxide. Spray on and watch the guts melt away, and not the paint. Then I use my favorite foam cannon to wash. I've been using this method for years, ever since a friend of mine in Florida told be about it for my Harley as he showed the before/after of the love bugs

Never tried this combination before but will have to give it a try. Here in Louisiana we always used dryer fabric softener sheets but you have to wash right behind it. Im looking at the foam canons to but haven't settled on one yet.

I was always leery of dryer sheets as I don't want to scratch my paint.
I just bought the QUIVR foam cannon. From everything I read/saw, it's made by MJJC so it has the same quality for less $$. I like it much better than my old Griot's Garage one. Just my $.02.

I’ve been in Texas most of my life, and we always used WD-40 to get them off the paint, chrome, and lights. It strips the wax or polish off, so it requires reapplying it afterwards. And if you have a lot of them, it’s kinda messy and tedious.

Anyone have any other tips for getting bug proteins off your truck?
Turtle wax bug and tar remover, been using it for years. They wreaked havoc on my 5th wheel camper for years. Stuff never failed me.

Finally a use for the bottle of hydrogen peroxide still sitting in my medicine closet from a post tooth extract procedure. :ROFLMAO:
