Figured I'd finally introduce myself. I'm new to forums in general, so this is all new to me. I picked up a new 2025 Sierra 2500HD AT4 late last year and have put about 20k miles on it so far. This is my first Duramax after owning Ford Power Strokes for years. I always wanted to try the one diesel I hadn't owned, so I made the switch. Truck is mostly bone stock with a Hard Tri Folding bed cover, most likely going to make the switch to peragon tectonic or Diamonback really soon.
The truck mostly hauls side-by-sides, utility trailers, lawn/farm equipment, campers every now and then, and whatever else needs to be moved.
So far I've been really impressed with the handling, don't love the seating comfort. I still miss having factory upfitter switches, and I think my F-250 had a little better stereo, but overall, this truck has been fun to drive.
Next on the list is color-matching the fender flares to the sterling metallic color I have, going to a smaller wheel/bigger tire setup, adding upfitter switches if there's a clean way to do it (input would be great), and hopefully figuring out a Ford-style door keypad, I've seen an option on the gmc accessories website, but open to learn if anyone else has done it.
Looking forward to learning from you guys and I'm sure this forum will end up costing me a little money.
