Lift Kit

Can confirm, no issues with the ReadyLift 2" SST for me either. Though I haven't had mine as long as Cocoabean.

Drives well, tracks straight. Also have the 5100's on the highest setting with it and the ride is still better than the ranchos.

Just placed my order for front and rear Peak Suspension 1 inch lift. Not looking to change the ride quality of my truck, or any major geometry changes. Just looking to get a small lift, keep my great ride quality, and give myself a little more room for 35's. So with this 1inch, the 2 inch factory lift, and 35's, thinking it should put the truck at 4 inches over a stock Sierra.

Installing a lift kit changes suspension geometry, so it’s important to match the kit to the vehicle and its intended use. After installation, a full alignment is essential, and brake lines, steering angles, and sensor wiring should be checked to make sure nothing is overstretched or binding. Many handling or warning-light issues after a lift come down to missed adjustments rather than the kit itsel

Welcome.

Welcome to the forum.

A lift kit is an aftermarket modification commonly installed on trucks and SUVs. Its main purpose is to raise the vehicle’s body or suspension higher off the ground. This increases ground clearance, which is useful for off-road driving or rough terrain. Lift kits also make room for larger tires and give the vehicle a more aggressive and stylish appearance.

There are two main types of lift kits: body lift kits and suspension lift kits. A body lift kit raises the body off the frame, usually by 1–3 inches, without affecting the suspension. It is generally less expensive and mainly cosmetic. A suspension lift kit raises the entire suspension system, typically 2–12 inches, which can improve off-road performance and allow for bigger tires. It is more expensive and involves a more complex installation.

Installing a lift kit can enhance both the off-road capability and the look of your vehicle, but it’s important to consider the cost and installation requirements. For heavy off-roading or long-distance travel, a suspension lift is usually more practical, while a body lift is sufficient if the goal is mainly style and a small height increase.
