Hey yall! I picked up a '26 XL with a diesel in Midnight Pine. Wow! Cameras DO NOT do this color justice. You have to see it in person. I find it changes colors pending on time of day and the way the sun hits it at different angles. So far wife and I are LOVING it. We had one on order since January and GM still hadnt touched it so by late April we were looking for one and found it in PA. It had more options than what we were going to order and came with what I call the 'murder' package with the blackout emblems and the back lit grill badge. I must confess its easily one of the very few vehicles on the road with the most commanding presence that I've ever seen.
So far I have and plan on:
-Eliminated Stop/Start, first mod (On a diesel? seriously Government / GM? Wtf is wrong with yall?!)
-Installing S&B Intake (ordered and received)
-Installing PPE Resonator delete (ordered and received)
-Installing PPE Intercooler hose pipes (ordered and received)
The 3.0 is whisper quite which I can appreciate but I bought a diesel... I want to hear it. I'm hoping the bolt ons will help a little.
My complaints with this truck so far are:
-Center console lid doesn't lock when console is position all the way back and lid slid all the way forward. Put an elbow on it to sit up in the seat or adjust and you're gonna go down. I think that is a terrible over sight and its highly annoying even dangerous.
-When the truck is on Adaptative Cruise Control, it likes to occasionally hit the brakes and dropping about 10mph after you've changed a lane with nothing in front of you. I have to constantly override it. This is clearly a bug. Don't know how to mitigate or solve it and I'm sure the dealer wont be of any help. (Update: Issue known as “Unwanted Integrated Brake Assist" Technical Service Bulletin N252521591-02. Got an appointment booked)
-Waze gets funky sometimes with music in Carplay. Waze will announce something and the navigation volume wont switch back. This is corrected by muting/unmuting quickly.
-Entertainment information in the dash and steering wheel track select wont function occasionally. This is mitigated by turning off Wi-Fi on the phone and back on.
-The 10 speaker Bose systems is just about as disappointing as the Bose system in my old '17 Yukon. It is woefully dull and actually sort of pisses me off that a $95k+ truck has such a crap system like this... its downright unbelievable. I'm. so. dang. tired. of having to subvert overtly complicated OEM systems just to add a sub or something. I'm sad the aftermarket hasn't solved this yet with a bypass as I'm not willing to cut wiring on a brand new truck. I read on another forum that ANC isn't an issue when adding an amp... anyone here done it yet? What was your experience?
