Is my Truck Defective??

Gotta be 25 mile if he is getting 38+. I have only ever seen that high coming down hills in the mountains, I keep mine on 50 mile normally, but my 400 mile is usually mid 20s. 50 mile for me is mid 20s to low 30s depending on how and where I am driving too.
That’s what I’m assuming as my dash shows that I get pretty good fuel mileage with the 25/50 mileage setting.

I recently got my fuel mileage to increase from 17 mpg to 19 mpg. What I’ve done different is lighten up on my driving, I went from driving 5-10 mph over the speed limit to going the speed limit (average of 35 mph city/ 65mph highway), eased up on my acceleration (going from I got places to go, to I’ll take my time getting there), I also increased the amount of hot shot fuel additive from 1 oz every fill up to 2 oz every fill up. Also, the diesel fuel blend at the gas station might have changed from the winter blend to the summer blend and could also add to the better fuel mileage.

Overall, I believe lightening up on the heavy foot and increase in Cetane have caused my fuel mileage to increase. I’ll be trying XPD fuel additive once I run out of the hot shots fuel additive to see if I can increase my fuel mileage even more.
